For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Gorgeous Circa 1927 Wahl Eversharp Fountain Pen in the Coral Celluloid. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.
Ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Hand cleaned the inside of the barrel and cap. Replaced the old rubber sac with a new silicone sac to preserve the coral celluloid for as long as it can. Hand polished the Gold Filled Trim on Cap, Lever, and Wahl Signature 14K NIB. There is no wear or brassing to the gold-filled trim, cap banding, or lever. I have cleaned, buffed, and polished the cap and barrel to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of this fountain pen.
This fountain pen is made from celluloid in the red with an orange swirl pattern commonly known as coral. The coloring is vibrant and gorgeous with no staining or dark areas. The cap has a clean imprint at the top that reads, "WAHL-EVERSHARP MADE IN CHICAGO, U.S.A.".
The threads on the cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly. There are no monograms or personalizations on the barrel or cap. There are no cracks or repairs to the celluloid. This Wahl-Eversharp measures 4 7/8" in length capped and 6 1/4" posted.
The lever assembly has been cleaned, polished and oiled. I have tested the filling mechanism with water and fills wonderfully - just like it should.
This pen has a Wahl Signature 14K NIB that performs very well with a Fine to Broad line variation. When measuring the actual tip of the NIB, it measures at .60mm with digital calipers, a medium point. When creating the writing sample the NIB writes with a fine line measuring roughly .55mm and flexes up to a broad stroke of 1.02mm when measuring with digital calipers using medium to firm pressure. The writing sample provided was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.
Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.
This vintage Wahl Eversharp Fountain Pen is in excellent condition - these pens in Coral are absolutely stunning and difficult to acquire in clean condition. This Coral Celluloid really makes a statement, it doesn't get much better than this. I would consider this Swan to be in Excellent Condition. It is ready to write with or just add it to your writing arsenal collection.
